- Warn us about long or steep driveways. A lot of North Shore homes sit well above or below the road, and knowing that in advance means the technician brings the right kit up in one trip.
- Arrange lobby access if you are in a Lonsdale apartment. Older blocks will not let a technician past the street door without a resident, and that wait is the biggest delay on this side of the water.
- Say if the car is in an underground parkade. Programming equipment can lose signal below grade, and the car may need to come up to the ramp — a two-minute problem if known in advance.
- Have your ID ready, or tell us it is locked inside. Either is fine, but it is a conversation to have on the phone rather than on the doorstep.
